Chatsworth Country Fair

There are activities for all at the Chatsworth Country Fair (3-5 Sep), which launches with a spectacular Red Arrows flying display. Foodies will want to make a beeline for the Fine Food Village. Here you can watch demonstrations by top chefs in the Rangemaster Cookery Theatre, usually with the participation of Fair president Alan Titchmarsh, and trawl a gourmet’s dream of food stalls. chatsworth.org

Calke Abbey Fine Food Fair

Expect to find all food grown, raised, baked or caught within a 30-mile radius of the site to make an appearance at the Calke Abbey Fine Food Fair (18 Jul). The Abbey’s own chefs will be demonstrating their skills using ingredients available on the day, and there’ll be plenty of treats to taste, buy and take home, so be sure to arrive hungry. nationaltrust.org.uk/calke
