Whether you are after a child-friendly stroll or a romantic weekend ramble, TopThingsToDo has the walk for you.
Family fun in the Peak District and London
Small children and long walks don’t generally mix, but the Castleton Geology Trail in the Peak District is an excellent walk for young families because all the sites are accessible via paved footpaths suitable for buggies. This walk will take you through dramatic landslides, a Bronze Age settlement, a 3,000-year-old mine and a cave known as the Devil’s Arse (charming…). This will take around two hours and is 3.4 miles. Peak Experience
If two hours is a bit too long for the little ones, then Kew Gardens in London is a good option. The gardens span over 300 acres and there are many trails specially made for children to explore. You and the kids can climb into the treetops onto a circular walkway to learn all about trees and then take a trail to a giant badger sett. Not only does Kew have some of the most beautiful gardens in London, but it’s also both fun and educational. Kew
